This Privacy Policy explains how ResearchBuys (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit researchbuys.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. If you contact us through the form on the Site, we collect your email address, your subject and message, and your name if you choose to give it. We may also receive information if you email us at hello@researchbuys.com.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the page that referred you, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and your approximate location (such as your country). This information does not reveal your name or contact details. We use it to keep the Site secure and for our internal analytics.
What we do not collect. We do not have user accounts or logins, we do not offer social media logins, and we do not collect payment information. Any purchase you make happens on a third-party retailer’s website, not on ours. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and messages.
- Understand how visitors use the Site, identify usage trends, and improve our guides and the Site.
- Measure how well our own posts and links bring visitors to the Site.
- Keep the Site secure and prevent spam, abuse and fraud.
- Comply with the law and protect our legal rights.
We do not use your information to send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
3. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the Site, such as our website hosting provider, our email provider, and Google Analytics. They may only use the information to provide their services to us.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights, safety or property.
- A buyer or successor if we sell or transfer the Site or our business.
4. Cookies, Analytics and Affiliate Links
Cookies and Analytics. We use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons and pixels, to understand how visitors use the Site. We use Google Analytics to collect information such as pages visited, the country you are visiting from, the type of device you use, and how you found the Site. We use this information to see which guides are most helpful and to improve the Site. We also use a small cookie to remember your choice on our cookie banner.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner. If you decline, the Site still works, and we will not use Analytics cookies during your visit. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links. Some links on the Site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network may place cookies on your device to track the visit, so that we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. These cookies are set by the third party, and their use is governed by that party’s own privacy policy. For more information, please read our Affiliate Disclosure.
5. Third-Party Websites, Data Transfers and Retention
Third-party websites. The Site links to other websites, including retailers such as Amazon. We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before you share any information with them.
Where your information is processed. The Site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed there.
How long we keep information. We keep messages sent through the contact form only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings we choose in Google Analytics. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Children, Your Rights, Do Not Track and Updates
Children. The Site is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us at hello@researchbuys.com and we will delete it.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and to withdraw any consent you gave. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You can also withdraw your consent to Analytics cookies at any time by clearing your cookies or changing your choice in the cookie banner. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, and some rights may be limited by law.
Do Not Track. Some browsers have a Do Not Track setting. There is no common standard for responding to these signals, so we do not currently respond to them.
Updates to this Privacy Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally, because continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
